Hey guys my kick panels are all butchered up. I think from the previous owner trying to add bigger speakers or something. So obviously I need to fix them. So I’m thinking of adding some of the kickpanels that has the speakers in them but not sure if I should try to add the kick panel vents back in or just cover it up. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Sorry for the bad pics that’s all I have right now

You’ll like the vents. I might still have some of the panels you need. I’ll look on Thursday or Friday when I’m off.

I hate the vents, they always leak cold or hot air. Although if you live in California where the weather is always 72 degrees, that's not much of a problem. Where it gets cold, it really ****s having the cold air blowing in on my ankles. I'd cover it well, but if you plan to recess a speaker there, you need to cover it behind the speaker, so it won't get moist air on the speaker.

I blocked off the vents on my 59, and put some speakers in the area behind the door, down by the ends of the gas tank.

Lol I wish it was 72 all the time lol. Today is supposed to be close to 99 already but I get what your saying. So when they are closed they really aren’t closed and still let air in? I just thought it might help since I don’t have AC and the summers get to about 105 degrees here

  6. It's amazing what good air you can get from footwell and quarter window vents!

Growing up in Philly, summers were hot and muggy- miss driving my OT '70 Nova with those vents opened up and down I95 and the Schuylkill Expressway :D

Vent windows are great. Footwell vents...never did much for me.

Well, in summer time I like opening them up, like rolling down the window. Rather have hot air than no air. To each they’re own I guess.
Guess I never noticed them leaking in the winter though, maybe the heater works well enough.
Or maybe mine just seal up well.
Besides, the vents look damned cool, mine (kick panels too) are chromed.
    I like shiny things.
