I'm not feeling this one....

 

The flower inserts are on my idea list for my Merc. Love the couch like material shock vibe.

 

I am doing the floral inserts on the 55, but they are more of a brocade material in one color. I am a muted kinda guy. Subtle wins the race for me.

I remember there used to be a tuck and too upholstered steering wheel in the old issues of the AMT 49 Mercury kit.

 

Yes there was...AMT 49 Mercury Sedan 1/25th scale.
Optional Custom Upholstered Steering Wheel.
I have one..or more.
A car that I showed years ago, 56 Buick , had full, white ,tuck & rolled upholstered interior and trunk....it also had matching upholstered slip cover for the steering wheel and panels for the front fenderwell panels(bottom side) and under the hood panels for the fire wall , radiator support, inner fender (top side) and under side of hood all held in place with velcro.
