Hot Rods Compact HEI ?

    Knowing the "Allstar" folks I would bet lunch that their MSD knock-off is sourced from China.

    I appreciate your comments.... My 6420 ignition box delivers no power to the coil although the power wire from the switch is supplying battery voltage. I didn't realize I could bypass if stranded at the side of the road? How would I do that...... Hey thanx

    Hi. Tom Langdon takes the small body GM distributors and converts them to HEI. www.langdonsstovebolt.com
    Mostly he makes and sells to the inline 6 cylinder users but what is the difference in a 6 or 8 distributor - the cap?
    Check with Tom and ask if his units will work for you. Jimmie

    I used to work for Delco Remy, we used the small HEI that you are talking about with a marine module in it. Do not need a computer then. I will look up the number later and post it. I've got one in my Cabriolet for 24 years. I also have one in my delivery for 36 years. They look very similar to the old point distributor and have an external coil.
