    Hello,

Chet Herbert did nearly the impossible, he was involved in building a series of cool hot rods and streamliners, as well as contributing to the rise of plenty of famous drag racers and drag racing history. (Including his son, Doug Herbert.) All while being confined to a wheel chair.

The series of the first full streamlining Bonneville race cars has been do***ented quite well by a number of periodicals. But, in looking at the history of “The Beast” named vehicles, this one is number 2. It is a chopped 27 T Ford sedan.

upload_2021-5-21_6-3-13.png The Beast #2 was a difficult drawing as there were lots of perception and depth angles to consider. It was/is the strangest drawing to do on paper and computer. But, the history of the Chet Herbert cams “The Beast #2” was a part of So Cal history of hot rods and racing designs. It may be proportional or not. (including those rear wire wheels instead of Moon Discs.) YRMV
