Model A- gutters or no gutters?

Anyone shave the rain gutters on their Model A? Personally, I like the look of the gutters (after all, old cars had gutters!), but was wondering what it would look like w/out the rain gutters.

    what he said.

    you're over-thinking this, i believe.
for the look you're after (and i share your vision here), why would you shave and smooth things?
you're leaving the door handles on right?
then leave the gutters on too.

No worries, just curious. They're staying for sure. I like the functional look of the gutters and for that matter, they work pretty well.

NO shaved door handles! There's a time and a place... and it's not on my car! :D

Like I said... no worries! The gutters are stayin'! I'm only curious! I don't think I've seen a Model A w/out gutters.... and that's probably a good thing...

My A coupe is very close to having no gutter on the drivers side - because its rusted off! Does that count?

  8. They don't look good with out the gutters unless you do a lot of work to remove or fill the indent where they were. As you can see I need to locate or fab a set for my coupe. Another factor is that on a model -A the door fits outside the body so if you drive in the rain the water goes past the door top straight inside...
