Ignorant guess.....DeSoto? Nope, I think a 1929 Pontiac.

That oval windowed Plymouth would make for a GREAT traditional project.

Sad....that 1958 Pontiac Safari is rare.....

 

Couple of my friends cars, the chev was saved from the crusher and the cadillac, that’s next on the list for an overhaul, one day..

 

I believe that is an IFA F9 above. Check out this video where you can hear one run. They were 2 stroke, they sound like a giant chainsaw when they're running!

I was thinking more old outboard motor, especially with the burrble. The way the rpms came up near the end, I thought he was going to do a launch like an alcohol dragster. Surprised at the lack of smoke.

 

Sounds like a snowmobile to me

 

That’s a splendid piece of automotive history. We can only hope it will one day roar along the back roads again.

 

Saw this one last weekend at the swap meet part of a show.

 

When we moved to San Francisco in 1956, the first hot rod that I saw was a channeled Oldsmobile powered, primered, oval windowed Plymouth.

 

the Plymouth is at my place now and the bel air will be soon. Saved them from the scrap man

 

It won't be long till 4 doors will be all that's left to build and are being left to rot in many cases. JW
