Have a questions regarding my wheel well patch panels
Where should the 2” lip at the bottom end up? Doesn’t fit under subframe ???
    Also
Panels have 5 bolt holes on the edge and what’s left of mine have similar holes ? Why? I was told they get welded in place

    Thank you

The lip on the bottom is folded up over the subrail. Should only be about 1/2”. On my coupe I just left a 1/4” folded under. The holes are where the fender mounting studs go.

If you have a nice straight rear fender you can use it and the mounting holes to get the panel in the right place. Remember that the fenders originally used welting between the fender and body so the correct position includes some clearance for the welting.
