He’s come off the price a substantial amount. Wild build.

  3. I can't help but contemplate the various scenarios as to why the build isn't being finished. Wife saw it and threw his dumb *** out of the house? Spent too much of his budget on psychedelic drugs? Found something about the design that is mechanically impossible?

I had a very brief FB interaction with the seller last year. IIRC, it seemed like the seller was the builder and the owner's business fell victim to the virus-economy. Everyone was trying to cover losses as best they could. Can you imagine the cost to hire what's done there?!

No I cannot imagine... I'll wager > 50K as it sits... Is it worth 38K? Obviously not running yet, body is an incomplete shell... a project... A very interesting project but still only a collection of parts... Will it sell? Probably, someone will fall in love with it that has one of those bottomless wallets and finish a very wild vehicle. It's like the guy I met at a hot rod shop that was nearly ready to take delivery on a very nice Power Wagon... "want to buy it?". "How much?". "$110,000, I have 120 into it". "too rich for my blood".... and it wasn't quite done yet..... I guess I just picked the wrong profession....
