Is it possible that the original vin plate was lost and the number was copied from the frame badly? The 2 owner car i posted earlier also had a vin ( H9EG222480 } that said it was a 4 door 300 sedan ,and that car was extensively do***ented, seems like the codes for body type weren't always accurate?

Can someone decode this or make sense of this, I tried decoding it at https://vinpit.com for VIN lookup free. It looks everything ok. But with the Ford red book, and somethings dont match,
    the vin is F25C9E43416

might help if you tell us what kind of car it is....year, model, and a picture always helps.

also whether your'e in Canada or the US, little things like that can make a big difference

The frame location is on the p***enger side, just behind the upper control arm. You may have to s****e some crud off to see it.
