That is correct, at about 13 1/2 Mile Rd I also wanted to mention that the cops are pretty sneeky during the week prior to the actual cruz and have been known to creep thru the alley behind all the businesses and watch people. Please, for your own sake do not attempt to consume beers in any of the more popular parking lot hangouts. It's a huge fine. If your thirsty and must drink a beer pour it into a fountain drink cup or something. BUT DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!
That was just my attempt (obviously poorly done) at humor. If anyone tries to sneak a drink out of my cooler all they'll get is water or lemonade. Besides, Im getting so old that even thinking about beer makes me have to go pee
No, your comment was funny and it just reminded me of something that went down last year.... SO..... I just thought I'd mention it so no one here gets in any h***les with the Royal Oak PD....we know how much fun those guys are right I might take ya up on that offer....if there was one, of the lemonade.
I'm planning on parking my car in a park in Royal Oak (Parked there several years in a row, and my family prefers it). I'll keep an eye out for everybody though. My cruising time will be very limited though, because as a growing trend with my cars, it overheats in idle traffic.
The Shell parking lot is probley the largest parking lot of any gas station in the Metro Detroit area, at least any that I've ever seen. The owner is one of the coolest guys around letting that many cars park and basicly block his "regular" customers from getting gas. Also next door to the Shell is a vacant lot with lots-o-cars parked there. If you need fuel at any time on Woodward please get it there and thank him for allowing the cars to hang out. Keep in mind we are talking about hanging out at the Shell this weekend and during the week next week. On Saturday, the actual day of the cruz, I believe the owner chages to park just like all the other businesses. Guys gotta make a buck somehow I guess. My Dad and I plan on hanging out on Woodward this Friday nite. I'll be in Big Olds and dad will be in his black and silver '56 Olds. Dad's not afraid to run anyone so if your so inclined pace him and catch a lite. I'll follow behind with the camera
Hey Denise where at? I'd like to see your dads car with the new colors before the monsoon of humanoids appear. I'll be off thu.-sat. for the cruise since I work afternoons and miss most of the cruise nights. Three days and nights of cruising should just about sensory overload for my simple mind. Hope to see everyone there.
I know last year we were neighbours with 62wagon and DirtyT on Woodward......I'll be in the old 55. Hopefully will hook up for some laugh's. Here's a shot of me in traffic from last year.

Ive been out there every weekend all summer so far. ill be out prob all week and i know ill be out there this weekend. i park at president tuxedo just north of 14 mile on the west side. Ill be in my 67 Camaro with the lt1. o yea ill have my mullet wig on
We're heading up Woodward to Birmingham for dinner then we'll be cruzn between 12 and 15 Mile Roads. When we feel the need to stop it will probley be at the Shell station at 13 1/2 Mile, east side, kinda across from Duggans. See ya tonight.

Do you mean "Back to the Bricks"?? That will be Downtown Flint, on Saginaw(the Brick street running north and south in downtown". I believe it starts around 10am or so a week from today. That's about all the info I know. I guess there were tons of cars last year from what I hear. If you need more specifics, pm hotrodtohell, he might know a bit more.

It looks like FAB32 and I will be there Friday afternoon. Probably will hang at the Shell station and cruise the rest of the time. Our wives will be with us so we will have somebody to buy us lunch We just may make it up to the Flushing A&W cruise Friday night. Then down to HOT ROD TO HELL and Kritz's shop in Flint on Saturday for Flint's Back to the Bricks show. Boy will need a nap after that
Dad and I took the coupe down last night... crazy already! Lots of cool cars, and people having fun. the Shell was jamb packed and probably will be for the rest of the week. Anyone planning on going out tonight?
