Hello hot rodders!!! I'm new to this. Have 1931 ford with a 1956 corvette engine with factory WCFB CARBS. It has a hydro 4 speed automatic Trans. This was my fathers car he built back in 1956. He built it from the confines of a wheelchair. But I need a little help on the setting up of the hydro shifting linkage. Anybody know about it???? Thanks

As “cool” as it sounds if you can get it to work fine but I wouldn’t spend much or any money of one of the old hydramatics. A modern trans will save a lot of weight and major problems on the road. Last time I had one worked on I had to supply a second one. As for linkage the hydramatic, the pressure arm/link pulls back the same as the throttle. DO NOT connect it on the bottom hole on most carbs, including the Carter WCFB, I drilled a hole about 1/2 “‘under the main large hole on the carb linkage the last time I used one. Good luck and have fun with the coupe..
