20210611_113114[1].jpg never thought I would own a steel 32 . but got my chance & I am thrilled. car has been painted since 71. does any one know any history of car . it has a distinct interior. very surprised it has survived without being updated much 0430800508a.jpg 0430800508b.jpg 20210616_065630[1].jpg

Excellent find and congratulations. It has the unfilled roof and cowl vent and it hasn't been chopped. It has also dodged the pastel, graphics and suede interior phase. Also note a very early style dropped axle. Had a mate local to me who built a similar one- yellow with brown fenders- back in the early 70's and he's just done a full re-build on it.

so far have changed the front tires they were from the 70's poly fibergl*** steel radials . took off the greyhound. pulled off the spare . but not the bracket yet.set the toe in working on the speaker covers .probably going to put on 40 brakes the disk have just been installed. over the winter I would like to put some dropped steer arms pull out a leaf and reverse the spring eyes. car is real stiff and the tie rod hits the balancer. not planning on a repaint may even leave the orange pinstripe tape. planning to put in a set of old stewart warner gauges except the speedo. 0502801639.jpg 0502801640.jpg 0502801640a.jpg not having much time to mess with it right now doing grownup stuff

  16. Nothing there that I couldn’t live with, nice going. If the frame is black, I would be tempted to paint the fenders black, and change out the wheels, but leaving it as is would also serve a purpose.

Instead of cuttting off the Ford steering arms, can't you heat and drop them to get the tie rod lower? You can also taper the arm hole halfway from the bottom, then install the tie rod below. This will require less bending of the arm.

Nice score. The ends of the front axle look pretty stretched. I agree with alchemy; the steering arms can be heated and bent and the tie rod flipped back like it was originally. Also, I'll bet there's not much clearance between the bottom of the frame and the spring, unless the frame is notched. Make it your own.

One of the great things about a well cared for old build is they often have excellent bodies since they had way more nice cars to start from back then. As a fellow yellow deuce owner, congrats on the purchase!

Congratulations on your find. Looks like you’re going about it in the right way by just tweaking it here and there and making it your own.

Nice, looks like it came straight out of a mid 70’s Rod Action or Street Rodder magazine.

Appliance wires! Those are neat. I like that you're backdating the speaker covers and possibly also the stereo. Those are the little "update" details that ruin a really period car. Maybe some round lights to replace the boxy amber turn signals. Seems like a real time capsule overall though.

what a great add love the clothes. the wheels on the car are in great shape but may get changed to some old ET five spokes or halibrand clones. pulled the 3rd brake light off it wasn't wired right any way. the car came from the Knoxville area I seen it about 12 years ago at the nats south and really looked it over good because I liked it so well. I thought some one on the hamb might know some history on the car from the 70's or before. I agree about the signals
