does the 550-16 fit the 16x6 wheel pretty well on width?
    Thanks

  2. That is close to being too wide a wheel- I was running 5-10 16" on my roadster on 4" by 16" wheels...
As long as tread portion of your tire still sets flat when mounted, you can probably get by....

Coker recommends 5 inch wheels for the 550-19 Excelsors I have but I had to mount them on 5.5 inch wheels as that was as narrow a wheel a the new So-Cal wheels come in. I wouldn't have wanted anything wider.

thanks. I was wanting to go 16x4 1/4 but didnt see them in price section of Wheel vintiques site. They did have them in another section that they were available.

  6. Maybe with a radial but that is too wide for a bias. I am not saying that it would not fit but I would not even think about doing it.
