Could I get someone to get a better visual on a couple colors for my Model A please. I’m still having trouble making up my mind. The bare metal coupe is my car the others are colors I would like photoshopped please. Boxwood green, light blue and a medium blue. Sorry the colors aren't exact matches to your examples. Hope these give you the idea though.

Dang moose that is some amazing work. It looks real! The dark red looks tough! Could I talk you into trying your hand at the blues? Thanks!

A fellow Studebaker enthusiast is building a quad cab Studebaker Champ pickup. He's currently trying to figure out a solution for the triangular wedge behind the back door. Can one of you artists try a version with a triangular window and another with it blanked out? The white wagon is for shape reference and the green truck is for color reference. If you can put in the front door and fill in the complete lower bodyside, that's great. The gentle bodyside "crease" runs from the front door all the way to the cab corner. But don't worry about the front sheetmetal. Thanks in advance! FB_IMG_1625848666415.jpg mqdefault.jpg 40249915661_1a90519f53_b.jpg

I did not run the crease all the way to the cab corner... I would let it end in the middle of the rear door the way the Lark wagon seems to, and remove it from the cab corner. I think that having it drop through the front door and remain level in the rear door would be awkward. I guess you could rework all 4 doors but I think the wagon treatment was a good solution.

Thank you so much, 7berkmerc! I will share these with him to provide some inspiration. Hopefully it will help determine how the back of the cab is resolved.

Didn't they use a Dodge bed like this, too?

Yes, that is a Dodge bed. They came either that way or with the previous generation bed. The only unique body tooling for the Champ was the back of the cab I believe.....

Which bed configuration is he using currently? Seems to me if you narrowed the Dodge bed to match the width of the Champ cab, that might be a good option, surely a better look than the stock setup.... :)

When Studebaker acquired the old Dodge bed tooling, I believe they had to design their own front bed panel to match the curvature of the backside of the new Champ cab (which, itself, was based on the contemporary Studebaker Lark body!).

They also designed the tailgate tooling to include the same stamped "STUDEBAKER" lettering that was on the step-side Studebaker bed.

Another Champ-specific stamping was the nose panel (at the bottom). This was required to provide clearance between the lower valence and the Studebaker truck frame.

Cool, certainly a unique animal.. I have never seen a crew cab conversion... It will certainly make a unique truck even more so! :)

By the way, the guy building the quad cab Champ was stoked to see your renderings! I really appreciate your help. I'll try to post a pic of his progress as he finishes the roof (whichever treatment he goes with).
