My ****** is falling out of 2nd gear on ocaasion. I pulled the ****** out of my parts car gong to go thru it and swap them but can’t figure out what parts to look for. The gear case is stamped
    AF-7006-D 24
    9G21: B
    Square access cover stamped
    AB-7222-B. 21
    9G31
    Tail stamp
    4 WAR-7651A
95A (the A is upside down)?
    Anyone have any ideas.
    It’s a 223 / 3 On the tree

It's likely a T86 if you have a 223, and the rectangular cover is another clue. The T85 is a heavy duty trans, was used exclusively on V8 applications and has a D shaped cover. Get in touch with Mac Van Pelt at Van Pelt Sales. He knows more about Ford transmissions than all of us put together. He'll probably ask you to email him the data you posted.

    K thanks.
To add insult to injury it’s a 9.5” clutch and the flywheel doesn’t have the extra holes to accept the 11”. The input shaft is 1” / 23 spline

That's either a Borg Warner T86 or the Ford-built licensed copy of the T86.
