I was just thinking of Larry today, and the RPU. I did buy a set of dadgum 32 frame rails for it.

I have the seat out of Larry's truck. It'll get used proudly in my T sedan hot rod.

 

This RPU project is for sale. Including new 32 frame rails. I love it but will never finish it. Larry’s memory deserves to have a a better caretaker get this on the road.

 

This car is for sale in the HAMB cl***ifieds before I put it up for bid on an auction site. Please don’t tell me it is “sold” then fall off the map.

 

Read the whole deal, enjoyed the banter by some of the legendary hambers, and the history. I think that rpu was built 15 different ways, and it is still in pieces.

 

Larry was a much better story teller than me.

Thanks for posting that you are going to p*** it along on this thread because I, like others, had missed the thread before and just like daylate I read through the whole thread and enjoyed following the comments and banter and other good BS that makes the HAMB a great place; especially from those that are no longer with us.

Well, its a great story anyhow!-----Going to the NSRA Nats in Tulsa in 1973, I just might have seen the "T" RPU in its glory.

 

Now that’s a story! I still have parts that came from Larry. Not junk, he had some neat stuff. He and I had an interest in using WWII aircraft parts on hot rods...later.

 

Let me know where it go's please. I road a lot of miles in that car with the original owner back it the day.
