what I did on my summer vacation (in the shop)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by T Hudson, Aug 11, 2006.

  1. My son (grumpybluesjr) and I have hit the shop hard this week. On monday and tuesday we got the motor and tranny mounts done in his '38 chevy truck. The motor came from porknbeaner (thanks Benno).
On wednesday and thursday we did a huge thrash on the '46 ford. Z-ing the frame and then channeling the body. Floor supports and body mounts are next. I'm hoping by sunday we can have the 300 inline hanging in place.

That 4 banger fit likie a glove with the 38 on the s-10. The cab itself is small.i'm 5'9 or so and it would cramped if you would put any other motor in it.beside with the way gas is it might save me on the gas cost. I hope.

Build it like you want. Nice work.
IM 6'2 and I use to haul wood on a farm in a 48 F1.
Man that truck was small. It had a 6 in it with low gear man it would pull along wet or dry up mountain paths like a jeep.
