Searching on the hamb for information on any 38 Buick’s. Not much on here. Why? I think these make a nice ride. Do I have a problem? Do I need another project? But it looks so sweet.
If the price is right this could be a great deal, you'd be able to sell the extra hood sides and grille sections for probably $500 to help offset the cost.
It looks like it would make an awesome ride. And if you like it that’s all that should matter. I’d love to see a build thread. And if your looking engine suggestions then I think it would need to be a nail head.
Of course you do. Even more so if you have room for it to be inside. Your first picture looks awesome.
OK, you're cheating by asking us that question. You know we all have the affliction - so we're ENABLERS! Go for it!!
I’m thinking there’s a movie or something when someone is being “mind manipulated “. I picture a fella trying not to do something, he’s fighting the urge/thought. He’s saying something like “ I…I…I must…resist…”. Then I think of Star Trek Voyager and the Borg, “resistance is futile”.
what difference does it make if you need it or not? I have 1600 square feet full of stuff I don't need and am on the search for more..
Horrible ^^^^ Some cars you do not chop. The overall dirtiness and cheesy wires do not help. Like Shoebox Ford Coupes do not chop well, add 38 Buick Coupes to that list. The length of the hood just does not jive with the pronounced front end. It looks alike a cartoon car. It's looks like what Tom (Tom and Jerry) would drive in his Zoot Suit. ^^^^ Now you are talking. Look at that joker. Automotive art. ^^^^ This guy knew his stuff. 1938 Buick....Like all GM Coupes of the latter 30s....A great car. Lots of work, but the design was great from the start.
Take a foot or so off the cowl side of the hood and sides, section the fender in odd ways and then stand back and take a peek.
Well guys drove 110 miles to look at it. It just needs to much work. I was hoping it would be in a little better condition. Way past my abilities to repair. I was pumped! But reality set in. Going to p***. But, dam those fat fender coupes are getting hard to come by around here.
