Does anyone have pictures or instructions on how to install Pickup Wood Bed Sills - 1929 Model, A Ford
If needed help for an emergy would have dialed 911. I have searched the net trying to find this information and no luck. So as a member OI thought I might get some information instead of the reply you posted. Maybe you have been at this too long and don't want to help and step down to my level and lead me in the right direction.
A more discriptive ***le would draw those with this very specific info, to your thread more easily. That said, the fordbarn site might be a place to get this info, also.
The sills are pretty straight forward. There are two horizontal bolts in the wheel well area that hold the wood to the bed sill. The front vertical bolts go thru the mounting bracket thru the wood and into the frame. Second set of vertical bolts directly over the rear axle on the outer metal sill that go thru the wood and the frame rear crossmember. I don’t have any photos.
Thank you, so the sills are mounted standing up and not laying down? what finishes mounting the bed to the frame, , or does it stop at the end of the sills. I can send some pictures tomorrow if you are ok with that and you can see better what I'm talking about. Please let me know.
But the 3 !!! make it look like you were 911'ing the HAMB for an emergency. I too thought you were broke down somewhere on the road.
