I believe he was refering to the suspension / ride height, not the top...

    Looks good to me.

...if you mean is it sittin' a little tall in the saddle,...yeah. Front end is too high, and the wheels stick out a little too far. Same for the ***-end. I'm thinkin' by now you really would like me to go away...:D ...but I love G***ers!

...yes that is better. Is there a way to narrow the front and rear axles a bit?...tuck the front wheels inside the front fenders?

    Is there such a thing?

I like it the height it is, just poke some headers out of those fenders to fill the gap! :D

I thought those might get your attention. Problem is I'm still computer
challenged, think I'll try scanning the rest and email to you. Hopefully
it'll be large enough to read. Plus you'll need to start searching for a
    June 1967 Popular Hot Rodding.:D

OK,done.Let me know if those came through and are readable.
If so maybe you can share them here.

I like that car. My front clip and rear fenders are from a real old g***er, and they were narrowed in the front and bobbed in the rear. That is why it looks so wide. i could just re widen the front fenders I guess. it just seems like a shame to un-do what was done "back in the day."

  21. Pop in "Hot Rod" and watch it again. You DO have a copy, right? That 41 was right on stance-wise. Just my .02

Does anyone have a photo (my scanner is busted) of the 40 Willys Pickup named Silver Dollar? That thing sits pretty damn high.

Here's a couple pics of an early Willys g***er that runs around Bakersfield. The owner drives it to and from work most days out of the week...

There are a couple more pics of the car in my album. Jeff also has an online journal of the build-up of his Willys...
