Thanks Lancer, been trying to keep it clean and as stock appearing as possible. So a lot of the fab work (and a lot of it) has been directed with that goal in mind. It's the details that make or break a build.

You'll notice there is a bulge in the fire wall. That is what i had to do to give enough clearance to remove and install the right hand valve cover. On a wedge, the block is offset right to left, while the head to firewall clearance on the left side is good the right side was just a little too tight to the firewall. Could still get the valve cover off but was more difficult than it should be. As much as i hated to do it, i cut out and fabbed up a recess to get better clearance and easier removal of the valve cover. Sometimes ya just got to change things.

A few posts back i showed pic's of the radio in the glove box and had the glove box lid taped shut. Did some more fab work and got the stock springs of the glove box to work so now it opens and closes as stock. As far as losing the glove box space on the dash is concerned , the right front set from the donor car has a slide out glove box under the cushion and is much more spacious than the 36 stock box is or was.

I forgot to add the pic's of the radio and heater final install in my last post, so here they are:

Got a little work done. Should have done a before and after but all I can post is the after, sorry. The original instrument cluster's face plate was toast so I found this one minus the heat gage. Sent the old original heat gage out and got it rebuilt. Now have a complete set of gages. Don't know if I'll wire up the amp gage or not. I'll be adding a tach with the same color face plate. Hopefully will be able to pick up a voltmeter with the same color. Plan to build a console to hold the tach anyway. Probably won't be any more hassle to add the meter by it. Have the original bubble glass from the old cluster cleaned and stashed away out of the shop. Will install the glass at the end of the build. Here are a couple of shots after the clean up.

So, I had to modify my lower radiator tube to the radiator. Did the mod a year or so back so please excuse my tardiness in getting the pictures posted. The reason for the mod is the big block transplant, the position of the oil filter was way too close to the radiator and would be impossible to change out. So, I did a remote set up and the hoses to the remote mounting was still in the way to connect the lower hose from the water pump to the radiator without a serious kink. I modded up this pipe to bypass the filter connect hoses.

Two posts in one day that's a record for me. This one is about the wiring, I have to add here that I absolutely hate wiring, of any kind. But I gotta do it sooner or later and here it is LATER. I moved the fuse box back in the trunk area because there just isn't enough room up front. So, you can see what I'm hoping to do with this wiring design. Most if not all the wires have been run to where they need to be. The hold up, (did I mention I can't stand to do wiring), is I've got old school wiring, (1936), having to meet up with modern wired parts, (2001). I've got all the appropriate wiring schematics for both years. Now it's just a matter of marrying the two up and not burn anything down the first time I try and fire it off. Anyway, that's the goal.
