After a long few years away from ALL social media, a change of residency from Georgia back to my hometown in Missouri, a nasty divorce where my 1932 Chevy was stolen by my ex and sold to pay for the divorce lawyer that I had to fight against, moved ALL of my stuff 900 miles one way, multiple trips, I finally have my life back in order where I can start enjoying the HAMB side of life. Georgia was a great place and I leave behind many great traditional hot rodder's, but Missouri is home. Its where all of my family is besides my two daughters, son and his wife. They have all flown the nest and are making their way in life. The old Henry J has sat dormant since the Gasser Drags at the Atlanta Dragway 2013. I go t it out last week for a friend to push off of the trailer at his car show because it is an ICONIC Hot Rod in these parts. My task was to get it running and participate in the HAMB Drags 2021, but that will not happen now. Either way, I have the desire to start rebuilding it, as well as a few other project's I have picked up along the way.
Congrats !, Enjoy !, Life sometimes has a few bumps in the road, sounds like you're on your way, Good Luck !
I didn’t know you then , but I know you now. Welcome back !! I’m fat n lazy so hanging out on the Hamb is just fine for me !
Is there anything I can do to help you make it to Joplin? Ryan isn't doing the race this year, but Mo-Kan is going to do a cool guys only race on the same date. And, we still drink beer in the hotel parkinglot..... -Abone.
Divorce will screw up your life for sure, but it also allows you to move forward. You have some great projects and the ability to set your own course now, been there got the tee shirt.
"Never sign any piece of paper, that will require a lawyer to remove your signature from it " Here's hoping that you will have a brighter, more positive future! That is a great Henry J !
Good to see ya back. Are there a lot elevators in Auxvasse? LOL. Head to Joplin for the not quite HAMB Drags....
Welcome home, Timmy. Drop in sometime. Last time Tommy had the J at my house we snuck out and stole the header caps. Sounded really good. You got the "extra" hood that Tommy cut up?
I do have that hood. It is the original hood he had on it in the 60’s. I have the green plexiglass scoop that bolts on it as well. It’s hanging in my basement as wall art! When I build a garage (better than this shed it’s in) I’ll hang it in there!!
Love the Kotter thing above. But when I see the thread pop up I keep thinking of that Huey Lewis sing. Hip to be square Don’t know why. Oh, welcome back!
