Well, while I have been off showboating at car shows, Russ (The Cisco Kid) has been busy in the garage. So far none of this is bolted to the chassis so it is all flopping around still. The suspension may end up having a suicide spring perch off of the batwing to free up some room for the radiator. The hood and nose will all be one piece and flip up using the stock hood hinges.
Torpedo!!! Hey bro better watch out if you drive that near a Federal Reserve Bank they'll think you're a terrorist. Looks real good friend.
This is not my car, it is my buddy Russ'. I just sit there and drink beer and give a little moral support and styling direction every now and again. Russ is the guy who made me realize that I could build cars on my own. It ain't that hard, you just have to put in the time and a little coin. He is quite capable on his own. I am just helping him out with building the chassis. he built the 3 window terraplane a year or so ago.
porknbeaner got it right....that sucker looks like a torpedo! definately gonna be wicked cool when it's done
Neat photoshop--Raymond Loewy meets the Ramchargers! My thought, immediately rejected but still tempting: Put on wing stumps, ending flat with a perforated panel, about 6" long on each side under the door, like wings had just been unbolted and discarded...
Wow, it takes guts to build something that could turn into a complete and total disaster! Cisco Kid is pulling it off. ...that dude was a friend of mine...
Damn that's looking good! All it needs is some nice thin bias plys and some custom chrome full caps and it's perfect! (althought it looks like it's getting radials and mags?) Cannot wait to see this one completed! =]
The front and the "cock"pit look cool the lines flow good. You got more ass end shots as from the ones you got is looks like it literally has a lot of "JUNK" in the trunk. You guys up there in those cornfields are cranking out some crazy cool stuff with the welders.
You guys up there in those cornfields are cranking out some crazy cool stuff with the welders.
They have alot of UFO sitings in central Ill. HUUUUMMMMM
I don't have many shots of the trunk area because it is shoved up aginst the wall. It doesn't look too bad back there either though. As for the spun discs, I think the Bias plies and straight axle are a big enough stretch for me to convince Russ to do.
you r my f'n hero..when i grow up i wanna be just like you.. this project has mad potential. can't wait to see the next post.
I absolutely love this build. Keep up with the photos. I really dig Studes and one like this is knocking me out. Great vision Russ! Way to drink beer and supervise Plowboy!
I love this concept, You are doing great work on this thing. I also thought I had seen a drawing of it somewhere and found this one in my file that I had printed. Had to rescan it onto the computer, not sure who did it tho.
