Well I just bought my first old Chevy, always been a Ford guy! Just purchased a 1933 5 window, which needs lots of parts, its an old dirt track car and I think I'll try the traditional route. I've always built (billet) cars in the past. Who makes patch panels for this thing, also I may need some advice on straight axle parts and set up! Thanks
did you get a frame? i don't know of any patch panels, but I do know where you can get a set of fiberglass fenders and running boards cheap, I perfect condition.
Nice buy! Glad to see another Chevy project. Like @tb33anda3rd said I don't know of any patch panels available. I had to find a small lower cowl piece from parts car to fix the small rust hole I had in my 33. The rest was fabricated. Good luck with your project!

I have a grill for that beauty . A few weeks back I went to this fellows house to buy a few p/s steering pumps and brackets and he had a few projects behind his house . One happen to be 1933 Chevy coupe he was building for a mud bugger . Big block , big tires and a 6-71 buffer on it. Definitely not traditional .
An old dirt modified is a traditional car. Why reinvent the wheel? Do a search and find out what they looked like back then, bombing around the old dirt 1/4 mile bull rings, and build accordingly.
Wish you were closer , I wouldn’t mind giving you a hand. Of course I got my own projects but what the heck . Good luck with it.
Any history on that car, like who drove it and where? I'm from Southeast Ohio, and used to go to Ohio Valley Speedway and Pennsboro quite a lot in years past. The left side looks pretty good, is the other side that nice?
The vin tag should be on the wood rail beside the pass seat, a metal tag nailed to the wood. Hope you have it there.
Pretty much nothing available for patch panels for 33 or 34 chev , parts are hard to find and getting expensive to boot , it appears your rockers are missing , and trunk lid ? Tough parts to find , I built my first 5 window on a 34 ford frame , almost bolted right on !! The 3 window is an ongoing project , The 5 window is on a 34 ford chassis .
Thanks for all the input, no frame, just what you see! I don't care to make the panels, I was just trying to save time. the back section of roof had been cut off to install the roll cage during its racing life. I'm thinking highboy style maybe gasser with a super bell drilled axle? I'll try to find where it was raced and where it came from. The body is not to bad at all just a $900. purchase price. Thanks
That's a super nice grill, love to have it but I'd say its out of my price range, seeing what they are on ebay!
I realize I'm getting into this thread a year or so late but these projects can go on forever Jamie I think I have a 33 rad shell for your project. came with my car (34 master ) and of course is nothing close to right if your interested I will make it resonable cheers

Yes I'm still looking. Guy said for months he would sell me one but never has. I've been building other people's cars and am now getting ready to start the 33. Thanks for the reply.
