These are a couple of photos of Garlits, doing a burnout at the museum, a couple of weeks back. He had just put on a new set of slicks, and was "breaking them in". He made a total of four runs, up and down his driveway. The rubber was so thick, it was rolling up, and blowing off the pavement! This is Swamp Rat 1B. The car that is featured in the Sept. issue of HOT ROD. He was running it on Nitro. He didn't tell me the ratio, but it was enough to give any motorhead a woody.
