Looks very sparce compared to 5-6 years ago. We went every year for 15 years with a car. Quit going because on Friday and Saturday nights the show lots at the hotels began to have a lot of unsavory characters. Fooling with cars etc. Security went down hill as well. Was a great venue back then. That indoor building used to be PACKED with cars for sale too. We sold maybe 5-6 cars up there. Really like the black Chevy coupe! Thx for the pics!

has the swap gotten better over the last few yrs. Last time I was up there it was about 2 yr after the original moved to Sac and they were just starting it back up.

yep, very sp**** - why so few actual swap pics - correct, nothing like it used to be - due to smokey weather, caused by fires in Northern Calif, did not walk any show areas - rides in Atlantis Casino Resort show area were parked so close would be hard to open car doors

That Dan Gurney wheel - th one above it I have a pair of in a smaller diameter. Had the pair for ever and the funny thing is they came off a shoe box Ford.

About 2014 we were there with our 57 Fuely. About 10PM when when you were supposed to leave the area, a group of unsavory guys, maybe 6-7, were milling around and started messing with our car. Told them nicely to please leave it alone. They got real salty and said they would be back and screw up the car. Told security-they said there was nothing they could do. We moved the car out of the show lot and left the next morning. Prior to this they had tight security there but no more. Later inside two groups of them go into an altercation right behind my wife but security in the Casino stopped it immediately. This was at the Peppermill. Went one more time after that but made sure we were gone friday morning. Neighbor was there last week for the Nomad convention at Atlantis and said all was good.

Interesting car. If the YOM plates are real its a '39 but it has an 8ba vintage flathead running narrow belt Merc pumps with the u shaped spacers. Would love to know its story.

  16. A buddy and myself were supposed to be down there checking on our winter homes but schedules prevented us from going down. We will be there next year.

Checked this event off my bucket list in 2017. Don't even consider attending again in this lifetime!

The one with the barbed wire is a joke , right. Surely , no one would do that on purpose...

You are grossly under estimating aesthetic taste and skills of the genus and species - Rodderus, rattus.
