Stopped by Dennis Piranio's shop to snap a couple of pics of the record holder at both Bonneville and El Mirage. Health forced me to have someone drive me and Dennis is in the same situation. Of course he wouldn't let the meeting of close friends go without humor and said he would race me to see who gets to wear the gr*** blanket first. This cl*** requires a stock production Model A block----117mph and a whisker under 200hp.
Wow is right! That is awesome, congratulations! Would love to hear more about the car/engine and see more photos if you'd care to share them.
"World's Fastest Model A" what? Hell of a fast flathead. I don't think it's stock. I believe there are other Model A's that are faster, even those with Model A blocks or their cousin Model B's. And some have V-8s . . .
I am just a long time personal friend. For info on the car do a search on Dennis Piranio lsr Model A or Piranio Antique Automotive. Never been to Bonneville but he and I took another friends pull tractor to Chatanooga and did well. Dennis built the Arias engines for this:
