Technical Gas cap

Hi Would a 1930-31 ford gas cap fit on a 1935-37 ford filler neck? The diameters on the cap and neck are very close. Thanks Ben

 

If not a rag will work. Or try a google keyword search 1935 ford gas cap. Might find something.

 

I was hoping that someone had one to try and see if it would work.

 

Quick google search shows 30-31 neck is 2.88"
32-48 is 1.75

Doesn't look like it will.

 

I used stant #10625 on my neck

Thanks I measured across the top of the 1930 model a gas neck and its 2 5/8" O.D. on the 1935-37 neck it shows an O.D. of 2 19/32"s that's pretty close Thanks
