1957 Chevrolet 283 Factory Power Pack Complete Used Engine that will need a complete rebuild. All major components from the factory including: Distributor Rochester 4GC Carburetor Ram Horn Exhaust Manifolds Valve Covers Starter Generator and mounts Motor Mounts Fan and Pulley's Depending on your build many of the above parts are restorable or good cores. Stamped engine code: F226FC = F - Cast 6 month of year (June) 22 - Date of month cast 6 - Year FC - Power Glide 220 hp 9.5:1 Compression Purchased engine for a "date code correct" build and never used. Just pulled the dip stick and you can see the clean oil. I'm sure this has been rebuilt sometime in its history. Converted to a stick shift. Came out of a mid 50's Willy's PU in Utah where I purchased it (see pic). Very hard to find a complete stock 283 with all the hardware, if that's what your seeking. Lots of these motors available but, if you're looking for a period correct 283, this is one of them.
