When I chopped the car I did not like that the roof was attatched to the wood with screws and the b pillar was bolted to the wood. So I removed all the wood and welded a 25 x 25 x2 mm steel pipe all the way from a pillar to behind rhe rear side windows to the roof and b and c pillars. Noew I have started with the wood that the headliner and windlace will attatched to. 20210304_115344.jpg 20210305_093319.jpg 20210304_115328.jpg 20210304_121705.jpg

Time for bondo I did the doors, hood and interior parts last summer now its time for the rest of the body. It was not that bad a big dent over the left rear fender and some work where I have chopped it. 20210323_125433.jpg 20210323_125439.jpg 20210323_125450.jpg 20210323_125458.jpg

More bondo pics and a pic of my gas pedal with the bracket that made the pedals angle better. I have also checked the fit of the windshield frame. 20210402_104227.jpg 20210402_104250.jpg 20210402_104403.jpg 20210402_104425.jpg 20210402_104601.jpg 20210402_104630.jpg

This is my first car with suicide doors and it worries me a bit with the stock door latches. I have made my own safety locks that I hope will work. Here are some pics of how I did them. 20210404_115727.jpg 20210404_115756.jpg 20210404_120527.jpg 20210404_120537.jpg 20210406_184011.jpg 20210406_184610.jpg

i like it .i was thinking along similar lines on my 38 chevy truck but i was considering central locking activated by remote control.wired so they would only work with the doors closed.to keep people out .

Winter is gone time to remove the studded tires, these are the wheels I have chosen, wire wheels from WheelVintiques 17x7 in the back and 15x5 in front. Summit Racing had the front wheels in stock and I ordered the rears thru Jegs, the shipped the wheels to Jegs in about 2 months. I am satisfied with the wheels they dont wobble and are round. And 34 Ford 4 cyl, hubcaps. 20210128_111802.jpg 20210407_102106.jpg 20210407_103535.jpg

When I did the bodywork I welded tabs with nuts on the firewall where I could mount panels for the fuse panel, MSD box, terminals and relays and the cruise control . Now I have started with the wiring I like it, its quiet not dirty . i 20210504_152624.jpg 20210504_153613.jpg 20210512_152737.jpg 20210512_152748.jpg 20210512_152801.jpg

Most of the wiring under the dash, from the trnasmission, engeine and forward wiring is done. Continuing with the wiring to the back of the car and under the seat where the stereo will be and control for the cruise control. 20210514_121621.jpg 20210514_121637.jpg 20210515_103749.jpg 20210516_153259.jpg 20210522_105305.jpg

Testfitted the dash to see that the wiring was long enough, it seems good. The only switches that will be visible is the turn signal switch and starter ****on the rest is in the glove box and under the dash. 20210520_124135.jpg 20210524_105948.jpg 20210524_105956.jpg

You are correct it was a little bit tricky but with the holder I built I could turn the wheels around and get to most spots.

A friemd of mine helped med with the shift indicator, the needle will be painted black with a red tip.
Also the tires are on the wheels, 235/75x17 in the rear and 175/80x15 in the front it will give some rubber rake i think. 20210619_095244.jpg 20210619_095259.jpg 20210624_161019.jpg 20210624_161048.jpg 20210624_161121.jpg 20210624_161138.jpg

Its been a while since I posted any pics but I have done something this summer. I bought a Raingear wiper I could not find anybody that sold them with 1 1/2" shaft so I bought one with 2 1/2" shaft and shorted it.I have also made a tackstrip on the roof from a 1/2" thick rubber mat I cut it with a jigsaw it will be glued and screwed to the body when it is painted 20210701_120941.jpg 20210701_120953.jpg 20210701_121042.jpg 20210707_153002.jpg 20210707_153046.jpg
