Well using the little old truck a such a lot I found the ride was a little to hard some times on some of the roads etc. So I decided to try and make the ride more comfortable and fit air to the front end suspension. Ive taken out five leaves and installed the bags as you can see. The little compressor in the trunk on the pickup bed and controlled by two switches on the dash that I had spare, One for the compressor which fills the bags in seconds, and the other to a solenoid valve to let the air out, with the pressure gauge in the cab. Ride height can be the same as before or lower. And guess what, its really made the ride great.
Looks like a great setup that works well, im doing the same front and rear on my 49 COE. Ive found that shock choice also has a BIG influence on ride quality with bags. Running Bilstiens both ends this time, had Konis on my 57 Chevy wagon many years ago and they made a huge difference. Bags need shocks with excellent rebound control.
somehow missed this one. would be curious to see pics of the truck aired at various pressures. aired out, ride height, and max per mfgr
