Bought these the other day, They are made by Cragar, They look a lot like the offy 5497 X rams but they are a lot lower and 2014FDFE-0D5B-4EC6-A588-AD43AFC90B06.jpeg 9BCB160B-1E26-4100-84B7-83F32F084B42.jpeg F7C302AA-9361-4C62-A43B-C597ED1137DC.jpeg 8E439398-0BD2-4CA0-A0E3-26960811A7E3.jpeg in height and both ends have been modified, One end is to large for a carburetor while the other end was modified to take a carburetor. Any ideas?

They were made to fit the GMC 3-71 blower and as @Crazy Steve said it was for hood clearance. Only one would go on the 3-71, they will not fit any other blower AFAIK.

  4. Looks like these may have been hacked for a 6-71...

I think I've heard them referred to as "water buffalo" manifolds.

Mox Miller had 2 of them ( bought brand new in 1958 and welded together ) on his 1958 Impala that never ran...

Sorry Mox Miller modified his 1958 Impala in 1962, not 1958 like I said above.
