  2. Yeah! Brian Blain's Ragtime Racers were quite a hit! They'll be in Murphys CA on Sept.25h and Chattanooga TN Oct. 14th thru 17th. I've agreed to serve as a "Reserve" driver; but as yet not have been needed!

Does anyone make or have a cross reference for a larger OD main bearing inserts for a model B?

  8. Went to his site and read up. It is a neat idea, getting member all over the US to have cars on hand for a bit of a show. Sort of a pre-War traveling circus. Appreciate the need not to "race", but mosey around quickly. The gentleman running the REO w/the HALL-SCOTT certainly pushed it a few times, couple of off track incidents from the video.

    Is it already inserted?
I'm asking because there are different ways to skin the cat...
If it isn't already the list of Model A parts providers mostly all carry Antique Engine Rebuilders, out of Skokie, Illinois, inserts.

The builder is in contact with Falluca the owner of Antique Engine Rebuilders, we are using his parts, he is the one that said he sees it once in a while, and that it has to be shimmed.

I'm probably looking for a needle in a haystack - seems there was a 'series' in Rod & Custom before it died (the last time) where the guy was gently modding a stock Model A. Nothing extravagant. Just a few little things. I want to say reversed spring eye, some other things. I want to reread that series now that I have a Model A. Don't even remember what he did to the banger but pretty sure he did something...

  13. You can download pdf catalogs from bearing manufacturers and search on size.
I would recommend using older versions, 2000-2005, the later ones have discontinued the older bearings.
Applications, MG, Triumph, Datsun, Buda/Perkins and Kubota.
