I am considering this setup on my fenderless 28 Model A sedan build but can't find much feedback about them. Only other option I'm considering is the Lincoln style drums but if these have worked good for people I will most likely go with these. Anybody running these?
I don't think P&J makes a sub-par product. Period. So good brakes but not really a HAMB look. So you have to decide what you want.
My coupe was built with P&J brakes back in the early 80's. I've has the car 24yrs and they work great. Parts are available from P&J if you need them and the pads from NAPA. Great tech info too...........
They sound good to go then. I just can't decide between these and the Boling Bros Lincoln drums. They are both about the same money.
On the P&J brakes the caliper and pads are Wilwood. They work fine and are easy to service. The rotors are cast iron, I'm not sure of the source. The edge of rotor, which shows, will rust if not painted or nickel plated. The caliper brackets are available polished, but look better if chrome plated. They function fine and overall look good.
