Anyone have any suggestions for a source for a 32 sedan windshield frame. Got one from Drake and it is the wrong shape. I'd really like to find a cherry original but they're scarce.

I ended up using the United Pacific frame. Was trying to get a trautwein <sp> thru Wescotts but they were no longer available and this was what they recommended.

Vicky, 4 door sedan, 2 door sedan and 5 window are all the same. 3 window is different. I used a plain United Pacific frame in my chopped 5 window and it fit great, it is just a little flimsier that an original.

  6. I have an original but it's heavily chopped. Not sure if that would work for you.

My United Pacific was not good with a wrinkled corner but the plater buffed out the wrinkles. Hope there is enough metal under the chrome. Used a Speedway frame before UP had theirs and it was OK.

I'll have to disagree as I said above 5 window 2&4 door sedans, Vicky and I think sport coupes all share the same cowl and windshield frame. The 3 window stands alone and the B400 and Cabriolet are different. Woody's and trucks are different. Owned them all but a sport coupe and woody.

I bought a United Pacific for my 4dr. It seems to be pretty decent and fit good.

Gary, is the UP frame any flimsier than most of the rusted through frames we seem to find in the Midwest? ;)

Haven’t seen a good reproduction in years as I have a original but has issues on the bottom corners but not bad. Crazy how the reproduction ones are not close to originals

I have a Trautwein on the shelf, how do they compare to original?

David over on the Ford Barn suggested N/C Industries in Sayre PA. As for the UP frame we had trouble keeping it straight until we installed the glass. It did fit the hole good but seemed lighter than an original. Car was chopped 3.5 inches and the posts leaned back. The man who bought the 5 window uses it for a daily driver in the Portland area and says it doesn't leak.

What makes the 5w different that the others stated?

As said before, it’s not different. Looking at the 1932 Body Parts Catalog the 5W, Tudor, Fordor, and Victoria all used p/n B45412 upper and B45414 lower for their windshields.

There’s a chopped windshield frame on Seattle Craigslist, recently dropped to $175. Only know what they show in the add, doesn’t list how much of a chop.

They made the best aftermarket windshield frame and it fit as if it was a original one. HRP

Gary, call C&G Antique Ford Parts, they list windshield frames on their site but it doesn't say if they are original or not, they list painted and chrome, doesn't hurt to ask.

They may have a original in their inventory. HRP
