Hey guys, started working on my 1947 dodge coupe. I need a few small parts like brake shoe springs and rear spring shackles and bushings...being a ford guy, i have no resources for where to buy parts for this old gal. Thanks for any tips.
Check at P15-D24.com. They have a list of vendors on that site. + lots of guys that know that vintage if you have questions.
I don't know why I always forget about Kanter. They have the brake springs I need. $79.00 for a set of 6 but they got em.
If the brake shoe springs are the same as a 49 Plymouth, I'll send you some for the cost of shipping. I'm doing rusty hope disc swap and an 8 3/4 rear. 80 bucks is just ridiculous.
Try your local NAPA or regular auto parts store first. It is surprising what they can get. Or, Rockauto etc. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...,suspension,leaf+spring+shackle+bushing,10473
Hey @Hitchhiker . I hope the Dodge Model D-24 work shop manual, was helpful that I gave to you, in regards to parts that you need !
These folks had a stock rear bumper for a '54 Dodge pickup and they shipped it to me. I was pretty impressed. Vanessa will probably answer the phone (503) 668-7786
