HAHA, back to the show, what time do you guys start getting there, looks like I may get called in to work a little later, 5ish, so would like to get there early, help out with whatever, meet some people, bullshit, u know..


side note, any local jersey/tristater's, check out my "the truck" thread could use some help with the GMC

 

So what is with you people? Tell us your real names, you seem to know mine. If you want to call people out or "me" on a super cool forum for talking about traditional cars, then lets be honest and tell us your names and your real problem with me. I know that a lot of people will vouch for me that I go out of my way for other car clubs and individuals into traditional cars. And I have never direspected someone not into the same type cars as I. We Rumblers actually don't think we are above anyone, and are kind and cool with everyone, so your preception of us is all wrong.
Many people will tell you I never say I own the Lanes, check the 100 articles written, actually you know what, those writers always get it wrong, not my fault, who f 'n cares. Ralph Ayles does, I created the idea and booked the bands and made it all happen for two years until I was totally beat up by drama and drinkers, I don't drink, did it real good for years, not my thing anymore. I was tired of not being who I was and letting people down, exspecially myself. Someday the lanes will probally sell, and might see some money for all that I have done there, but not holding my breath.
I also have never told anyone that I built the Fuzzbomb, Bob Bleed did, and I'm happy to tell everyone that. Just got back from Sweden where I could have lyed if I wanted, but did'nt. The Fuzzbomb was built very fast and things were not to my liking. I never complained about it in an open forum cause thats not fair to its builder who can build circles around most people. I personally thought it could have been a little better and Mr. Bleed agreed. He flew here and he and I took the body off and re-did the entire back of the frame, I made most of the brackets and came up with the layout with Bob. Did a suicide rear spring, now it's sick. I also fused a 56 Chevy dash into the cowl, and made compound curved and radius sheet steel around the back cockpit, I went to school in Mass. and studied under Faye Butler, world renound metal shaper. What I can't do is spell, so please excuse me. I also went to school at Parson's in NY for steel scultupre and furniture, thats where I learned to weld enough to get by, not a pro...I have friends that are pros. I have chopped every top I have ever owned, shaved, and decked most everything I have ever owned as well. Maybe you have seen the 29 P/U that I built, all my design, all my chop, all my fab, minus the steering column, panard bar, and brakes, I hate brakes....


I would love to invite you or Sweetheart who I'm sure is your friend to my house to see me work on my cars. I have a 34 Five window being built as we speak, a 34 three window slated next (can't wait) and a 50 Ford Biz coupe that I got off my friend Dennis Mcphail out in Texas. Frank Palmer did most of the front clip and I believe small block in it. I chopped it, looks pretty bad ass. No one has ever really shown me how to do anything, I just have learned along the way by jumping right in. The first car I ever bought was a 30 Ford sedan that I chopped not knowing a thing, impressed me, since I knew no one building tradtional cars in my neck of the woods, that was about 8 or 9 years ago. Before that I drove a 42 BSA that I bought, broke down often, had to keep it going, learned a little there. Oh, I owned my own shop once too called Dirty Devil in Red Bank NJ, ballzy to never have a backround in cars and just open a shop because I had a desire to do what I wanted. That car was for a Beatnik (CC) named SHOE, we were introduced by a mutal friend, Shoe is now one of my best friends, and he attributes that becase I said I was going to do what I did.....good work. So step the fuck up cowards and say this shit to my face. You gotta a problem with me, say it to my fucking face.....PUSSIES!!!

I also left out that I quit High School and Joined the Marine Corp after going to an adult school and getting my Diploma. Just in case I ever gave anyone the idea I graduated. I was one mark from being a sharp shooter and trained in hand to hand combat, back is a little out of wack these days, so not as fast as the chipper midget I once was. Oh, and I don't hit woman either, just to clear that up too, in case you are a girl........a can smack so serious ass if your cute though. And if your ugly, I'll throw you a bone so maybe we can put this behind us and move on....life "is" too short.......and so am I.

 

Hey surfer1316, please excuse all the drama unrelated to the original topic of this thread. We get there around 6:30 -7am. Cars start rolling in around 9 am. if u want to help/hang out, get there between 8-10am. We'd appreciate the help. Also, looks like we'll be having a little work and drink pre-party on Fri night @ The Lanes when our West coast guys get in so join us!

I'm actually driving down to point pleasant thursday or friday so i might come early too and give a hand, if needed.. I'll probaby head to asbury around 8am if you need the help.. I'd rather head to asbury before all the beach traffic starts. My T doesn't like traffic much...

 

HAHA, drama's funny..... I'm working friday night, so can't be around for the pre-party unless I somehow get out early, let me know when and where, I guess we'll see, but I'll def be there early saturday,

hahah, the piece of shit truck I'm driving might almost be welcome on jalopy journal if it wasn't an 87. Mazda B2000, stick, fairly low, haha, paint so faded it almost looks like a flat red, white-ish wagon style rims. HAHA a condition to buying her for 300 bucks was I wasn't allowed to wash her.... EVER hahaha

HAHA and repoman, yeah deflate the ego a bit, let some of the hot air outta your head, the aura of thinking your better than everyone is like a forcefield, nobody can get close enough to talk to you (sarcasm, if you couldn't taste it, guys friendly as hell, I just walked up to him and just started talking to him about his truck in a random bar in new brunswick)

 

whats the traffic like on the pkwy south on saturday around 9:00 or 10:00, I'm thinking heavy shore traffic.

 

I'd leave early early if you can. you get on the road any later than 9:00 and you can expect trafic.

Tighten your nuts and get your ass in gear. Only two days to get your rides ready for the show. Took the Deathtrap to work today to shake it down as it's been sitting in the driveway for 2 weeks, way too hot for a roadster. It ran great. Snugged-up the big bolts. Skipped the little guys as they don't do anything important. Even sprug for a new oil filter and 5 NEW quarts of oil (I am such a big spender!). Coming down Fri. night. for some booze and abuse. MIKE.

 

HEy Mike, I have this cool grommet kit for u to fix the banner with when u get here, hope u dont get too wasted of course and fall off the roof while hanging it! I'll try and help u but, ya know,--I'm kinda slow and shit. See u friday fuknut! gonna be fun. I'll try and protect u from the West coast Rumbler crazies if I can too. Oh yeah, this is no shit,- There's gonna be a fucking marching band at the Lanes for our pre-party friday night so maybe u could get to play the rusty trombone after all!
