I have 5 totes full of misc. hot rod magazines; Street Rodder, Rod Action, Rodders Digest, R&C etc.. Free to a good home. Nothing particularly valuable or rare but lots of good winter reading material. You come get the magazines; I keep the totes. Thanks magazine.jpeg magazines.jpg

They can be difficult to give away sometimes but I’m sure someone will want them.

I carried about 700 car oriented magazines to the Veterans home and was told the vet's enjoyed them.

I bit the bullet and threw out several hundred mags from my library. Was painful at first then became liberating and even fun to gain the space in my craft room closet. I'm down from 8 or 9 shelves to 2 shelves of key keeper mags and loving it.

Try tossing some and see if it doesn't start feeling fun for you too!

  12. Brilliant idea !!

I pitched all mine in the last move , I had 5-6 boxes of them I never read, along with c***ette tapes and 8-tracks and vhs tapes.
I’ve gotten much better at tossing stuff that I’m only keeping for the sake is keeping .

You could probably sell out at a swap meet for $1 a mag. With the way printed magazines are going, they will probably become collectors items.
Personally, I miss getting my magazines in the mail every month. The only thing that I am getting now are "Hagerty magazines"...

I gave 20 years worth to a friend with a kid who's crazy about car. Save a few, particularly TRJ (remember them?) and Street Rod Builder and some older CC and HR,

I built a bookcase to hold all mine. Before, I would worry about having enough room for them all but the magazine publishers have since solved that problem.

When I went to order a new truck a few years ago there were two salesmen in the dealership. Jokingly I asked if I could have an 8-track player as an option. The older salesman burst out laughing and the younger one looked at me stone faced and confused.

Last summer I donated my entire magazine collection to a high school automotive Vo-Tech program. The instructors gave them out to their students.
