I would like to fab up a set of Ansen style combo brake / clutch pedals. Does anyone know of a junkyard donor car that has the brake / clutch pedals together on the same bracket? I would like to maybe try and find one I could modify...thanks-
Look for the Brit cars like Triumph, the TR4 has a set up that might work. I bought a set for that reason but then found an ansen setup.
Seems like both 60-70's Chevy and International P/U's had the dual master cylinder setup. They had opposite clutch and brake resevoirs from each other, though. Maybe someone else can confirm that. You may be able to use the whole setup.
I think the Internationals were a straight shot for the master cylinders - brake on the right, clutch on the left. Chevys are reversed. You don't want to use the Chevy truck pedals though. I thought I did untill Big Ric showed them to me. The assembly is MASSIVE! and complicated and heavy. I've got a pedal assembly from a '60 MG Midget (bug eye sprite) for my Modified. Hanging reverse pedals with a combo brake/clutch master cylinder. If you want it to go through the firewall, LOTS of Brittish sporty cars had hanging through the firewall setups. AND, the later ones can easily be adapted to racing master cylinders. Real easy.

Or do you have some sort of access door? Or does it stick out in the engine bay like it does in a MG?
Hey Dan I gave those pedals to assdragger but you can leave him a pm, Im not sure if he was going to use them for sure.

You can make the cowl cover removable - like Flt-Blk's Model A Truck. He has to undo a few fastners to take the cowl top off, then he has ultimate access to everything under the dash. You can use remote reservoir and position them under the cowl vent, or use a 90 degree setup and space the master cylinders out so they are under the cowl vent. You can glue an inspection mirror to the inside of the cowl top and use a pump to fill the master cylinder reservoir. I've seen one with a custom made drip pan under the MC to catch any accidents or seepage. It's not the most efficent place to put a MC, but who ever said hot rods were efficent?! If it goes through the firewall, no problem. It's just like most modern cars.
I have a set of pedals that might be Ansen's. It uses the Chevy master/clutch cylinder. One of the pedals is missing, other than that it is in good shape. It would be easy to fab up the second pedal. $50- if ya can use it. Creeper
Hey Dan, those pedals are just sitting in my shop. You and Greezy work out a deal...I dont need em any more, I`m using a different set-up.
