Projects 40 Ford ignition switch

I'm trying to use my 40 Ford original Ignition switch to switch my fuel fuel pump I'm missing the little metal can with the switch operates inside of I have I have all the parts except that no that no one seems to sell it Does anybody know where I can get one

 

Mac's doesn't sell the unit ? Or Bob Drake or Dennis Carpenter or....

 

try C&G ford parts--they are out there

 

I have the little internal switch parts the contacts and the micarta parts I don't have the little metal can that goes up against the steering column that the switch and the in the outside contacts bolt through I can't find that part

 

Just searched C&G website they have everything but that part

 

I was hoping to find someone who changed their steering column and might have that part in the Box and be willing to sell it

 

I have tried C & G, Bob Drake, Mac's, and Dennis carpenter, nobody has the part I'm looking for I have the little plastic pieces with the contacts, I don't have the little metal can that goes up against the steering column that those parts go in, I was hoping someone might have one in a Box somewhere and be willing to sell it

 

Ask over on the Ford Barn. Someone will send you one. Make damn sure you are using that '40 switch to activate a 40-amp relay to run your fuel pump or the br*** contacts in the switch will fail.

 

The pump is activated by a relay which gives minimal draw on the switch
