I have had this for a while and I believe it is a vintage oil cooler in a "beehive" shape...I would like more information about it as I can't find anything similar .....Just figured to be a custom hot rod item....cast aluminum material.....anyone know who made these and what era? beehive 1.jpg beehive 2.jpg beehive 3.jpg beehive 2.jpg beehive 3.jpg beehive 1.jpg beehive 2.jpg beehive 3.jpg

  2. What's the purpose of the chrome cap? Looks like a vent to me, is this a catch-can of some sort?

I used this for a fuel tank on my vintage go kart....purchased it many moons ago at a Hot Rod swap meet.

I'd say reservoir of some kind rather than a cooler.

Looks like a really cool vintage go-kart gas tank to me.

Too big for motorcycle, I have seen (and used) the smaller type for my motorcycles though.
