Planning up grade to power steering. Have dual MC with booster, wondering if person jacked font up is I could get box with steering box out the bottom. Trying not to have to take brake lines plus maybe MC out.

I just did my girlfriends 56 but engine was out. Even with engine out I had to go over the cross member. Out the bottom no way. Steering shaft will not clear dash enough to angle down at that hard of an angle.

Thanks was wondering that. So will have to remove MC and lines or cut steering shaft. Any good method of removing MC without brake fluid all over the place?

Can you post a picture? I would think moving front seat back (unbolt if need be for more room) should give what you need as far as room. Unless you've got a basket full of snakes for brake lines?

Never mind, just seen your photo. Leave cap on master as to create vacuum so it won't leak as much (very little at all actually). Brake line will splash more fluid if flicked than master will leak out. Just use rubber caps on lines and wipe right away if any splash happens.

Thanks, I was wondering about plastic hydraulic plugs in MC .If I leave fluid in master and plug line connections in MC, shouldn't have to re-bleed MC ?

What about u bent under master?

Wouldn't be easier to pull master with distribution block as a unit?

I don't have an answer, but am curious what that master cylinder was originally used in? It appears to be very large.

It's a pot belly copy like the Corvette's used.
This one is more accurate unit from Raybestos I used on my girlfriends.
