Event Coverage 25th Central NY Stock Car H.O.F. and Reunion Sunday 09-19-21 Mid State Speedway Morris NY

  1. Central New York Stock Car Hall of Fame and Reunion on the Otsego County Fair Grounds former site of the Mid State Speedway.

    7:00 start time

    -Vintage Race Car show/Track time
    -Swap meet

    Hall of Fame 1:00 P.M.

    Cruise In by Tom & Doug.

    Vintage tractor display by The Tired Iron Tractor club.

  4. A funny story from an "old timer" about the track-

    A man was telling about in the late 50's or early 60's he said he was 14 or so and had the family 8mm camera, instead of filming the race cars during hot laps, he started filming in he words "the blonde bombshell" standing at the end of the grandstand. (Note arrow in the following photograph)
    He said the drivers must have noticed her to because three or four cars in a row missed turn one and road up on the berm and a fifth went up and over.
    The young lady was asked to please take a seat.

    The first stock car Bud built. He bought the car from Pepper Eastman for $10.00

    Bud latter cut the car down and built a "Bug" and won the 1969 Mid-State track championship.

  14. ...and what a bunch of Bull*****ing in this photo! Left to Right. My mother Anita Palmer, My father Willard Palmer, his college friend Tom Martin, and Willard Martin. Yes!! there were two Willards in the same place at the same time!
