Getting ready to hang the cleaned up tank, new sender and all and am wondering, should it get painted? If yes, what paint would be best?

Look for a zinc rich paint to better protect it. Maybe Eastwood has such a paint

Painted my last one with POR 15 and it was holding up well when I sold the car 8 years later. Haven't had to replace a tank for a while (lucky) so may be something better now.

I used it as well on our Ranch Wagon, it turned out great. HRP

A can of AlumiBlast worked for me. Easy to touch up too. I'm just incredibly cheap!

Thought about rock chips and washing and worried what would stick...so left mine like OEM - original galvanized finish. File0183.JPG
