As stated, "it depends on the car". I had a set on my '51 Olds... But went with the narrow whites on my '56 Ford for a more sixties look...
...87% approval for a classic option for your Hotrod/Custom... Keep the WW love comin'... Dirty or not... Credit to Photographers, Owners
To be fair both were used fairly extensively in the 40s which brings up the question when did whitewalls appear?...perhaps they were around as long as the blackwalls.. I know way back the some were All White...
Not a huge fan, although I've had several with WW's..it really depends on the car, and style you're after.
...Very nice, be neat to see these together... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/wanted-pics-of-ryans-38.8853/ ... @Ryan's Credit to Photographer, Owner
Love WWW's on early rods and customs, and thin WW's on early 60's rods and customs. I even made faux WW's on my racing slicks.
On the right car,I love them. Cool! On the wrong car, they look as fake BS as primer as a final finish.
...seems things are UP in the air with some, regarding WWs...love this down N' dirty whitewalled Hotrod...and then there's the extinguisher that almost looked like it was just photoshopped into there to promote safety at the Triple wide Races....Ahhh the Good Ole Days...its funny the WWs outnumber BW 3 to 1 in this image... ...Uhh, normally if someone put their dirty boots on my piecrusts they might have Flying Eyeballs but since it's you I will pacify my response...Officer do you favor WWs over BWs...Just curious...we're doing a survey...
