Technical 1958 GM Rear Axle what is best Posi Drive??

Have this 1958 GM axle in my 1934 Ford truck and to much wheel slip on 1/8 mile drag strip, otherwise works very well. Anybody out there, who can say what is good locking for this axle and where I can buy this?

look for 55-64 Chevy full size car parts....just to narrow your search a bit.

nothing new is listed for it at Summit. But the repo places have one.... They're kind of expensive.

I was lucky enough to find a stock GM take out posi carrier on *b*y. Swapped out my ring gear and put it in my stock case. I had to shorten my stock axles slightly.

If your installing a posi in a none P case you will have to do some clearance work inside the case.
