Not mine but a neat car. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/d/1923-bubble-top-show-car/6700847187.html
It looks like the bastard child of a hook up Roth's bubble top Beatnik Bandit and the Ala Kart. Too many drinking binges and heavy hangovers.
I'd like to see the photos in that album...Bigtime...snooping the net coming up dry...it looks to have had some tall goodies on top of the engine at one time...
I saw that car at one of the kkoa shows probably about 10 years ago. wasn't too wild about how narrow the body and bubbletop were, and the whole thing was poorly detailed/thrown together in my humble opinion.... seems pretty cheap though. maybe someone will buy it and fix it up nice....
I see parts of all the Roth cars in the design. Just didn't come together very well. Roth was a genius as this car testifies.
Hamber @Kustom7777 has a custom still in a lengthy build with a very similar name however it is a very different style. I wonder if he knew of it and it was possibly an influence? His threads are many the entire build is in numerous posts...I picked his latest...I think it will be a beauty when completed. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/telstar-it-still-exists.1117810/ While this Rothian looking creation posted for sale on CL may not make the cut with many it looks to have been a 60's show car. Anybody remember it seeing street or show duty prior to where Moriarity saw it?
That's amazing...looking at the interior it had shades of the Sahara discoloration and that old photo album kind of could make one think 64/65ish. You have a pretty good handle on this stuff...thanks for that. Did you actually see it driving. I'm sure it would have created some positive vibes initially.
I have pic`s of it somewhere from the same KKOA show. Looked to be a fresh build as Moriarity said. .
Good Lord.....some WV series 64’s would have been a nice addition..” hey let’s put some weld pro stars on there”....WTF....
