    Hey everyone my names Matt,

I built this 1930 ford coupe about two years ago now. Its a mild banger motor with other then that, a stock drivetrain. I went thru the whole car, boxed the frame, did a 40s juice brake conversion, 35 wheels, 34 front end, etc. the usual. probably since I built it, I put about 2k on the invisible speedo.

Really my only complaint with this car is the gearing of the trans, which leads me to this mod.... It fun in its own way, but I feel a swap will make it all around a nicer driving car. So after spending many nights looking over this forum I pulled the trigger on a T-5. Got lucky and found an old timer that was goin to do a close driveshaft conversion but sold his car. Ironically he had printed the same threads and info I accumulated from the internet over the past couple weeks. He made an adapter off an AA belhousing and tuned down a flywheel to work with a s-10 clutch and pressure plate. I feel simliar to the V-8 clutch mod. I feel I'm goin to run with this setup and work my way back. I already got in contact with a couple members here on some info and parts to make it happen.

If anyone else has done the close drive t-5 conversion that wants to chime in, feel free! Im all ears to tips and tricks. I have viewed/saved many of the threads on the site with ppl doin similar mods. I guess this is just a way to keep that info goin for the future guys in line, while also brainstorming with you fellas.

    Thanks!
    Matt
