i changed car over to 12 volt , alternator, same time I got it going after a long storage, steering wheel grommet was bad so it was letting a lot of heat into car, got that fixed but now I’ve notice the switch is hot,( thought before it was because of hole in floorboard, my question is do I have it wired wrong, ( should I be running 6 volt to it like I did my gauges) or is switch bad, even the key gets hot.

Have you added any additional accessories that are running off the ACC on the switch ? READ all of this: https://watsons-streetworks.com/a-current-topic/ I added the 70-80 Amp relay to my switch since I run A/C and an electric fuel pump and electric fan.
