Hot Rods P-38 Belly Tank & Alvord Dry Lake Adventure. BY Marty Strode

Stogy, Alan and Larry, for the conditions, windy at times, my Nephew Ken, got some good footage, and he is a pro at editing and compilation. For an exploratory mission, It gave a us some valuable input for our gathering next year. It will only get better. Now we need a couple 35-36 coupes with the headlights removed.

 

Looking forward to next year's edition, Marty.... That was very cool, reminded me a bit of the film ''Deuce of Spades". JW

 

After doing the math a couple of times, it turns out that I am 5 years and 11 days older than you. If at all possible, I'd really like to make it up there next year for the next Alvord event and meet you. I don't really have a bucket list but, if I did, this event would definitely be on it.

 

We would love to have you come ! I am more apt to make a bucket than a bucket list.

That is a great story Marty! I'm not surprised you did this for this young gearhead! Great to see youngsters excited about old hot-rods, as my boys are as well!
